Business Web Site Hosting – We received an invoice from Thomas Sargent for $150 for web hosting and domains of eawa.com and w1tu.com. Although this was a fair price for web hosting, it was questionable if we needed both domains. Dick W1KRP made a motion to inquire about the cost if we went to one site. The motion carried and Chris N1CJS will contact Tom to make the inquires. (Chris contacted Tom on January 11th and found that Tom had overlooked that EAWA was non profit. He will keep both domains and will host the site for us for $50/year.)

Ray KB9TQC signed the renewal as an official club officer.
Field Day – Dick W1KRP mentioned that it was time to get thinking about Field Day. In order to use Lamoine Beach, we will need permission from the Lamoine town officials. Rob W8HAP will check into getting permission for us to operate from the beach. The EMA trailer will once again be available to us for use. Evie mentioned that her son will be getting married the weekend prior to Field Day and that she will need help with food since she will also have several house guests both before and after the wedding.
ARES – Mark N1TDO is the new EEC for ARES.
EMCOMM – Dick W1KRP noted that EMCOMM is not dead and that Ralph and Linda may call a table top exercise just to see how much we have forgotten—I mean remembered!
Waldo County Digi-Peater – George W3HBM reported that the Waldo County EMA has activated a digi-peater in the hills back of Belfast. This repeater allows contact with Augusta as well as down the Maine coast. On January 10th, it was changed from a digi-peater to a node which will allow for faster communication. There are approximately 50 active packet stations. With the addition of this node, there is now a viable communication system in the state. The group needs to agree on one message program since there are several out there being used. Bob’s AA1PI packet station is 145.010. WLDEMA is the port for Waldo County EMA. All one needs to have packet is a TNC, a 2m FM radio, and some kind of computer or smart terminal.
At 7:55PM Rob W8HAP made a motion, seconded by Dick W1KRP to close the meeting. All were in favor except Phil who opposed in absentia.
Respectfully submitted, Evie Sargent KA1BRA Secretary/Treasurer
