****EAWA Net will use 146.910 repeater until further notice.  The club’s repeater is still down and is being revamped.

A reminder that club dues are being collected once a year rather than throughout the year ($15 individual or $20 family).

A committee comprised of station managers Jeff KA1DBE, Chris N1CJS, Rob W8HAP, and Marcus K1FIG will schedule a meeting to discuss preparations for Field Day.

Evie KA1BRA made a motion to move the repeater fund money back into petty cash.  Jeff KA1DBE seconded the motion. The motion passed.

Marcus Ford K1FIG asked the group what the power should be for the digipeater that will be located on Schoodic  Mtn. The consensus was 5 watts will be plenty.

Bert K7HVN suggested perhaps Marcus K1FIG could use ARRL teaching guides with his students for the Schoodic Mtn. project.

A VE test will be held on March 9 from 12 to 4pm at Meadow View Apts Phase 4 Community Room 25 Tweedie Ln in Ellsworth.  It was also announced that a VE session will be held in Brewer at the Machias Savings Bank 2nd Floor Boardroom on March 16 at 9:00am.

Joan W1DLC announced that she is filing the 2019 Annual Report to the State ($35)and she is changing the Corporation’s Registered Agent’s Name from Evelyn Sargent to Joan Hildreth.  The cost for doing so is $15.

Thank you to Chuck AC1BS  for updating the EAWA website. It looks great!  And thanks to Bernadette KI4VCR and Marcus K1FIG for the evening’s  refreshments.

A thank you to Evie KA1BRA for agreeing to lead the evening’s program “NETS and NET CONTROL. Evie discussed various types of nets, how to start and call for check-ins, asking for help with ID when necessary, the necessity of listening for some repeaters to drop before calling into the net, handling emergency situations, and other related net procedures. The presentation generated discussions that were most helpful. Club members are encouraged to  take the leap and volunteer for net control.

The next EAWA meeting will be on March 14th.  Refreshments will be provided by Evie KA1BRA and Chuck AC1BS.

Rob W8HAP made a motion to adjourn at 7:41 pm.  Bill W3AKD seconded the motion.

Respectfully submitted,

Joan W1DLC
