CW = 783 QSOs. Together with Bonus Points, the claimed score
is 3842 points. In 2016 the EAWA had 610 QSOs and 3608 total points.
Thanks to all who worked hard to give us such an exciting and
successful Field Day 2017!!

147.030 Hulls Cove Repeater – Rob W8HAP spoke to Sam W1JOB about the
repeater not functioning properly. Sam will look into it. Evie
KA1BRA noticed that the repeater acts up more in the summer than in
the winter. Perhaps there is some interference.
Solar Eclipse QSO Party- Rob W8HAP reported that there will be a
solar eclipse on Monday, August 21 with an eight-hour operating
event. To get the scoop, check out February 2017 QST page 82.
Rob W8HAP made a motion to adjourn that was seconded by Dick
W1KRP. The motion carried. So done at 7:25 PM
PROGRAM-EAWA By-Laws
There was a lot of discussion about changes to the By-Laws so it was
tabled for now. It was suggested that Evie check the ARRL site to
see what was there for information about “Standard Operating
Procedures” or “By-Laws”. The conversation was that perhaps the EAWA
should have a “Club Policy or SOP” instead of drastically changing
our by-laws which were written by Bill Fenton, a lawyer and a ham.
Respectfully submitted,
Evie Sargent KA1BRA/
Secretary/Treasurer
