Skywarn Program – Joan Hildreth N1NUA asked what the Skywarn program was all about. Bradley Nuding from the HCEMA office explained that there will be a Skywarn training session on June 13th at 5:45PM at the Ellsworth Library. The personal from Caribou will talk about weather and the importance of recruiting “weather spotters” especially amateur radio operators. This is an excellent program/training worth attending.
Bangor Hamfest – A few of the gang were able to attend the hamfest, but none had found that super deal.
Touch-a-Truck – Those of us helping at the event thought it went well and was good to have a ham radio and EMA presence there. We didn't rate as high on the scale as the free ice truck though.
440 Repeater -Mark N1MEA reported that he has heard nothing more about it.
4H Event- Jeff KA1DBE reported that all went well. The kids were really into it and most likely two of the older kids would get licensed. Evie KA1BRA mentioned that it was terrific to see these young folks so interested in our hobby. Thanks to Burt K7HVN for setting this up and running the “show”!
By-Laws -Instead of discussing By-Laws and possible changes to them, we decided to postpone that task to our July Meeting in hopes that more folks will have time to read them.

EAWA Web Page – Chuck AC1BS said that all members previously had been listed with calls, addresses, etc on this site. W1KRP noted that several are now Silent Keys. It was decided that only the officers of the club should be listed with personal information attached. Thank you, Chuck, for tracking down and taking over this web page. Phil N1EP will also help with this site.
Dayton Flee Market – Joe Lowenthal WA4OVO was in town and attended our meeting. He went to the “Dayton Ham Fest which moved this year to a very muddy fairground nearby. Maybe next year it will move back to the original location.
Rob W8HAP made a motion to adjourn that was seconded by Lynn KA1OTM. The motion carried. So done at 7:33 PM
