Old Business

Field Day Committee Report- Chris N1CJS reported that he had not heard back yet from Sumner if Field Day 2018 could be held there. Evie KA1BRA suggested that we need to know by our April meeting so we can make plans for another site if necessary. Chris N1CJS will contact Sumner for a decision. Jeff KA1DBE suggested that the EAWA consider adding another station and run 3A instead of 2A ( two operating stations plus GOTA). We can make a decision on that once we have a site.

New Business

Battery Connection to Club Station – Dick W1KRP contacted an electrician about the cost of running a power cord for the battery to the station area. The quote was $135, but Dick feels that it could be done for about $35 and be within code. Dick will let Evie KA1BRA know what is needed for supplies so we can get this project done and have a battery available so the station can be used when there is a power failure.

Dues Collection and Date – Chris N1CJS noted that previously there had been a discussion of dues being collected once a year. Bernie KI4VCR made a motion that all dues would be payable at our January meeting starting 2019. The motion was seconded by John KQ1P. The motion carried. (Anyone owing dues before January 2019 do not have to pay until that date.)

4H Demo – Burt K7HVN asked for volunteers to do a ham radio demo at the 4H event Saturday, June 9th at the Blue Hill Fair Grounds. Last year Burt K7HVN, Jeff KA1DBE, and Evie KA1BRA did a presentation. Please let Burt( burtonlowry7@gmail.com) know if you would like to help this year.

Chuck AC1BS made a motion to adjourn that was seconded by Bob AB1EP. So done at 7:25 PM.

Jeff Hanscomb KA1DBE gave a show 'n tell about Fox Hunting! Thank you , Jeff!

Respectfully submitted ,
